Who would you want to play in the first round?

    I know it's a little too early to be talking about who we're going to play in the first round of the playoffs, especially since we are still on the outside looking in, but I just had to.

    I think that we can take it to the Jazz. I'd rather play them in the first round.

    Portland could be a handfull if their veterans & depth come to play.

    San Antonio would be even tougher because of their big men.

    Sacramento is the only other team that I think will be in the top four seeds & I wouldn't want to face them in the first round.

    What do you guys think?

    I think out of the top 4 teams we have the best shot against Portland. Portland would beat us of course but I don't think they would sweep us like the other 3.

    I would like to see us play the Lakers. That is, providing we have a healthy Hakeem and Cato.

    Second choice would be Sacramento.

    ive got to go with utah. we almost upset them as the eighth seed in 97. i mean up 2-1 in games, leading by 20 at the half of game 4. and we blow it. i want to avenge that. i want to be the third eighth seed to do it. i want to see hakeem lying on his back with the ball in his hands with a big smile on his face, just like i always see dikembe on his back when they beat the sonics. and utah would be the sweetest place for it to happen.

    I would say the Jazz because it would be fun to beat up on the Jazz and knock them out of the playoffs, but I might have to agree with ZRB. The Rocks seem to match up better with the Mavs for some reason. Put down Phoenix as well.

    We match up really well vs. the Jazz (Olajuwon over Polynice any day, and Stevie and Cat should be able to drive right past Stockton and Starks). Plus a shot at the arch-rivals is always good.

    But the main thing is just getting to the playoffs this season. The rest is gravy.

    I wouldn't mind playing sacramento. Since Webber said he wanted to leave they don't seem to be playing very well.
    Also a playoff series would be a good test for Stevie and Cat to show Webber what they can do in the post-season.

    I want to play UTAH! heck, let's be honest... we're not going to win a championship. But we sure as heck could win a series! And who better to win it against than THOSE BASTARDS!?

    Wouldn't you just LOVE to end John Stockton's (that cheating, miserable, high-shorts twirp) with a 3 game sweep? How much better could it be?

    Besides, I think we could actually beat Utah. Tell Kelvin Cato to do nothing but block Malone's shots, and let Stevie give Stockton a good send-off to the nursing home.
