what is with the chron headline to the clipper game? It is wrong.

    "Clippers hand Rockets 4th straight loss"

    Well, lets break this down,

    The Rockets have not lost four in a row.

    If they meant losing to the Clippers four times in a row, that's not true either. The Rockets won the second game of the season against them.

    If they meant losing to the Clippers four times in a row (at Staples Center), that is wrong too. The Rockets swept the Clippers in 1999-2000.

    If they meant losing at Staples Center four times in a row. Yes, that is true, but the Rockets are currently on a five game losing streak at Staples Center. (0-4 vs Lakers/Clippers, 0-1 vs Clippers),so the headline does not work again.

    The AP also reported yesterday that the Rockets loss gave them four straight losses.

    Ever since the Post disappeared, the Chronicle can get away with garbage like that. I consider the Houston Press to be more accurate than the Chronicle. Houston needs another mainstream newspaper to keep the Chronicle on its toes.

    ESPN made the same post on its website claiming the Rox had lost four in a row. I even saw it on sports center last night. It appears someone is not paying attention.

    I noticed that too, I guess the Portland game was ruled an exhibition.

    i guess it shows you that a lot of these sources dont do their research and all rely on the same source without checking it.......... unless all these stations just happened to make the same mistake..
