What do all of you think the Rockets will do after this all-star break? I can only hope that this half doesn't mirror the first half of the season. I was asking because as you all no teams are known to turn it up or down a notch after the break. I think the Rockets will do better but not good enough to make the playoffs.
:( It would be great if Cato/Griffin kept up their play, Francis got over the injuries, Mobley came out shooting like he did the first several games of the season, and we got a big spark from our bench then actually made the playoffs. I would love to see the Rockets in the post-season with our main guys playing like that.

P.S. This is my 1,000 post, I saw only fit to put it in the Rockets forum. GO ROCKETS!!! MAKE THE PLAYOFFS! :)

This thread just reminded me of the 1999-2000 season.

The first half really sucked. We were still bitter about the Pippen situation, and Barkley and Olajuwon were always injured. And we ended up just flat out sucking, like we do now.

In the 2nd half, the Rockets turned it on, and played close to .600 ball.

Personally, I hope we lose our share of games for the sake of getting a better draft pick.

I will be satisfied with the 2nd half of the season, if I see continued improvement from Cato and Griffin, as well as smarter play from Francis, Mobley, and Moochie.

At this point W's and L's don't mean as much as overall team improvement.

Sometimes W's and L's aren't the barometer of improvement.

    Hopefully, stay relatively injury-free.

Everything builds from there, as long as they can stay relatively healthy, and put the same people on the court every game, the Rockets can make some serious strides, at least thats my opinion.

But if we continue this different starting lineup every other game because of injuries stuff we've been having to do, this season will probably end up better off as just a bad memory.
