    I am putting together a website and I want to add a few stock photos. I am looking for photos of Houston and oil and gas related facilities (rigs, manifolds, etc). I'm looking for those that are free (or cheap) and do not require attribution of any kind - I don't want to clutter my site.

    istockphoto.com is the best source for stock photos. Cheap and royalty free.

    You probably want to start raiding all the local university libraries and check HPL Central branch to see if there's anything, either some kind of historical industry exhibits or just newspaper archives.

    This might finally be a good use of Linkedin, just start hitting up any retirees from services companies, either HSE guys or communications/PR reps, or anyone who used to work at Hart Energy/Oil and Gas Investor.
