This was passed along to me via email today. Apparently wrestler Booker T was at this restaurant with a buddy and the bartender basically told him to either take off his cross or leave.

Was it because it was religious or because it was bling?

I'm sure it's online somewhere, but I got it in an email. He said it was off a website though.

I love it when people think their "rights" are violated in a private establishment.

I love it when "Christians" gripe that a bar doesn't want to see a display of their faith in it.

Let me know when it's in a church, then we'll talk.

    TIA

 Religion is a protected class. If they refused him service because of his religion, they're in trouble. But, this little snippet doesn't provide a heck of a lot of information.

And why do people (like IROC it) think a bar is an ironic place for a Christian to be? Most denominations of Christianity allow drinking. They have wine in their communion. There's nothing unChristian about being in bars or drinking.

It's just not a Sunday School class in a Sports Bar, now is it?

I doubt it's a religious argument anyway... this smacks of veiled racism or stereotyping at the very least.

I was somewhat being like Lil' Pun in his response...

It's not as if they were asked to simply cover it up first.... or like they were at a communion service.
