Heres the story: In Early February, I freelanced as a Production Assistant for one day on VH-1's new game show, "Movie Obsessions." First of all, it was ALL scripted, the "contestants" were actors, even their wrong answers were scripted in. Anyway, that's not what pisses me off. When I was offered the job, a woman quoted me $150 as the base pay. So I went in from 8:30 at night until 5:00 in the morning, I was the last guy there along with the production manager. THen, almost two months later and after Viacom Payroll forgets to process my check, I get a check with a base pay of $130.00, then after taxes it comes out to $110.97! So should I call this Evil Empire of media on this one, or write them off as the richest, grubbiest sons of biznotches in Manhattan? fondly, across110thstreet
That depends -- how much hell are you willing to go through for $20? I personally would let it go and chalk it up to experience. But if you're a glutton for pain, and you REALLY want the $20 bucks, go kick some ass!
