The few games I've been to the TC have been tickets handed down to me with a parking pass.

I bought some tickets this year and will have to find parking.

Anybody have advice on where to park for the Toyota Center? I don't care if I have to pay a few bucks or if its free, as long as its a safe place to park and I can walk safely to the game.

I'm not that familiar with that part of downtown.

Ah, I know this one quite well :) I've never paid for parking at the TC and I've been to about 50 events there.

If you get there before about 6:30-45, you can park along LaBranch. Start at Walker/McKinney and drive south on La Branch -- take the first spot you see on the right.

If you don't have anything there, you will have to park a bit further away, but rest assured, you can get great parking for free. My standard spot was around San Jacinto and Walker. It's a bit of a walk, but there's almost always plenty of spots there, or along Walker a bit closer to the stadium.

What I'd to is the first thing (La Branch) and if there's not a spot there, go up to Walker and take a spot there. You'll be relatively close and free parking. No traffic getting out, and like I said, I've been to around 50 Aeros and Rockets games there, and I've never had a problem.

There's a parking garage near the Four Seasons Hotel for $5 bucks. You have to walk several blocks but there are usually people around so it's safe.
I now try to grab free parking at parking meters but that is more of a walk where there are fewer people sometimes.

Parking though, should be easy to find. There are always people outside the parking lots waving flags to get your attention and with a big sign about the price. You can get real close to the Toyota Center for $7 bucks (it would only be a one or two block walk).

Thanks Jeff, for telling me about the free parking meters.

MadMax and I went last night and parked about 3 blocks away on the street for free. I've never paid for parking at the Toyota Center. Not once. If you are willing to walk 2 or 3 blocks, you should never have to.
