No offense to our president, but this quote from Tony Blair makes his speech sound like a 3rd grade show-and-tell...

"Their barbarism will stand as their shame for all eternity."

I just saw Yassir Arafat's comments and I was really surprised. He looked like he was about to start crying. He said no words could describe his pain. He said it was an attack against all of humanity and there was nothing that could condone it. He ended by saying "God help me" three times.

Russia's Putin said they fully support Russia and want to join the world community in seeking out the terrorists and bringing them to justice.

    Wow.

He's the prime minister of England. You can probably see it on CNN.com.

I actually feel sorry for Arafat. I think he really wants to make peace, but his own people keep undermining him. He has rounded up Hamas leaders before, etc -- it just doesn't work, and the more he does it, the more he gets marginalized. I'm guessing Arafat is sincere, even if Hamas and others were involved.

The leader of Hamas actually condemned it and said that no religion could supported such a thing, however, he called on the US to look at its position in the Middle East and recognize that their position played a part in the attacks.

He runs those dinky islands that used to run us. :)

Glad to see the world is behind us. Russia and China are the two I would be weary of if we invaded/attacked Afghanistan or any other location in the middle east.

Blair did look very strong, but he has it much easier since it was the US being attacked and not England. You can prepare and deliver a better speech if you are not worried about your people being attacked.

Actually, Blair's a Clinton-clone but with a stable marriage and an ability to avoid lying. Very charismatic, moderate-liberal. He modelled his campaign after Clinton.

I think he's one of the best leaders there is. Integrity, charisma, and brains.
