any of you metalheads going to see this show tonight? For you guys who aren't privy to who they are...the Iron Maidens are a chick cover band of Iron Maiden of course. They will be performing with Powerload, another cover band of AC/DC. It should be a good rockin' show...especially for $10.

Crap. I missed this! Things just got hectic and I forgot about this show. How come you didn't give me a buzz and remind me man?

    notice his nick?

just in case you arent up on 80s heavy metal songs...

Aces High is a song from Iron Maiden's Powerslave album

I pretty much disagree with 90% of what he posts here....but when it comes to the best British heavy metal band on the planet...we are in total agreement. ;)

Ah, that sounded wrong. I wasn't trying to insinuate anything, I was just wondering if he was, indeed, the notorious Creed-defender.

My sister went to the show. Paint me jealous, although I'm not a huge fan of classic metal...

thats a shame...if you look beyond the god-awful cookie cutter metal bands(ie...hairbands)...there are some really good bands from that era.

I thought about adding "unless you already know who Maiden is, and just want to give him a hard time for his Stapp(sp?) defending" to that last post. ;)

at the risk of sullying my rep around here....Im gonna go out on a limb and say that I dont think that actual band Creed was that bad...I cant stand the singer...but I thought the rest of the band were actually decent musicians who just need a better frontman.

on the other hand....they got waaaaay popular, when lots of more worthy bands are languishing in small clubs for lack of sales. So they kinda irritate me.

Creed was so generic that their music actually stood out. I guess that takes talent...
