Since this is the Thanksgiving Week, here are some things I'm thankful for:

I'm thankful I can feed my spiritual needs any way I choose.

I'm thankful I live in a place where I can still see the Milky Way most nights.

I'm thankful that I have a good job I like... one that helps people and gets me out of the office occasionally.

I'm thankful the music I grew up on had its roots in R&B. (edit)

    I'm thankful I live in the U.S.

I'm thankful I was able to acquire a good education.

I'm thankful for all those (regardless of political stripes) that honestly try to make this country and our world a better place.

I'm thankful the Rockets won the lottery and for cc.net.

Most of all, I'm thankful for my family. (All the cliches apply.) I wouldn't trade one minute of time with my daughter where we're looking at cloud shapes on a summer day for anything.

    Have a good holiday everyone!

I'm thankful that I have my health.

I'm thankful that I have a wonderful family (including in laws).

I'm thankful that I am going to Vegas on Wednesday.

I'm thankful that I have friends who have been there for me during my period of unemployment to lend a caring ear.

I'm thankful for cc.net. This has made passing the time so much easier for me.

    I'm thankful for respectful debate.

I'm thankful for this thread. Great idea.

Nice euphamism! But it's true, rimrocker. You won't even go blind like they say. ;)

Um, no, I was trying to say I'm happy I live in a place where religion is a choice. Really.

The Thanksgiving trip to Vegas will have:

    Refman
    Mrs. Ref
    Ref's sister
    Ref's parents
    Ref's in laws
    Ref's bro in law

All meeting at the Aladdin Hotel & Casino. I am flying back on Dec 1...my first anniversary. So it'll be a great trip.

I have a side bet with my bro in law. He said he'd pay me $1,000 if I could find a Hessidic rabbi willing to dress like Elvis to renew our vows. Any help guys?

OK Ref. When you get back you have to be completely honest with us on the amount. Everyone I know who goes to Vegas either wins or breaks even, but I'm not buying it. Vegas was not built on winners or people breaking even. It was built on losers like me. Don't bring that weak "broke even" stuff back here.:)

    I'm thankful for my family.

    Thankful for my country.

I'm thankful for Dubya Bush, I may not agree with his views, ideas, history, etc. . ., but he has done a good job the last year after a terrible tragedy and is doing the best he can.

Thankful for this board and all you guys.

Thankful for you guys paying for my education with your taxes. I'm a good investment, trust me.

I'm thankful for the delicious turkey and that Ben Franklin didn't convince anybody to make it our national symbol so that we can eat those suckers.

Thankful for after Thanksgiving day leftover turkey sandwiches.

And i'm thankful for my new friends, Anime, and video games.
