Within Windows Explorer, you can set your "view" to large icons, small icons, details, list, and thumbnails.

Is there a way to default the view (specifically....to details) for every folder everytime you open explorer?

Sorry for the dumb question; it's my job to know these things, and for the life of me, I can't remember a way.

Tools | Folder Options | View Tab

Set all folders to same view

    "Like Current Folder"

Set one folder to 'details' view.

From the Tools menu, select 'Folder Options'

    Click on "view" tab

There, you will see a button that allows you to set all folders to the same view (select 'like current folder')

Thanks.....I normally would have figured it out myself, but one of the BIG bosses caught me when I was really busy.
