Has anyone seen a show at Stubb's when it's cold out? Does it totally suck or do they have big ass heaters or anything?

    and

I've never been to Verizon Wireless. Is it a good concert venue?

There is a show I wanna see in Feb and am deciding which venue to get tix for. I live in Austin and am from/have fam in Houston. I've been to Stubb's quite a bit but never when it coulda been cold(ish) out.

    Thanks

    CSON

Stubbs is a great venue. Anywhere you are at, you are quite close to the stage. As for when its cold, you might get a bit cold, since there are no heaters around.

Verizon in Houston is also a good venue. Not as close to the stage as Stubb's but its ok. THey have stadium style standing area in the back if you want to avoid the crowds up front. They also have reserved seating upstairs. But those kinda suck anyways.

I usually am at Stubbs or Verizon every couple of months.

Both are two of my favorite venues to see a show. It really depends on if you have a preferance to see the show outdoors or indoors. I'm not sure about heaters at Stubbs, the only time I've been there is summer. How about you go to both of them. :)

    What show is it?

I'm pissed. I bought tickets for Sigur Ros at Verizon last week, and then I just realized my Coldplay tickets are for the same day. Argh

Verizon has the best sound of any venue in Houston. I love seeing music acts there.

I'm with Harrison, and love both Venues. I was with him when we saw Nine Inch Nails at both of them in May. Stubbs was awesome (but hot), but the beers were only like $2.75!!! They have some good BBQ too, get there early and grab a bite.

Stubbs is a great place to watch a show, but prepare to freeze your arse off. There is plenty of room, plus they have an indoors area (But not sure if it is open during big shows).
