I watched these shows for the first time yesterday and I thought it was entertaining. However, where do these people sell these items that they won at the storage facilities? Ebay? Garage sale?

I found it interesting they were able to sell old furniture for like $100-300. Old things for like $25-$50.

Most of them have second hand stores that they own but yeah I feel like a lot of the prices they have are very generous. Also the show is staged

I'd say 90% of the time, what they find in those units sells for far less than what they claim ("used cat turd? that's a 50 dollar bill all day long.") or it doesn't sell at all. I assume they are well connected when it comes to antique buyers, specialty item hunters, and other collectors, though. Otherwise, probably craigslist.

LOL... they "say" they sell them for $xxx. Or at least they assign a $xxx value to the junk they buy.

Some seem to have thrift shops where they resell the junk. Or a few (I prefer the Texas version... I sorta have a thing for Mary) have shops where they sell refurbed versions of the junk they buy.

I watch the shows with a healthy degree of skepticism. If it were that easy to make money winning storage auctions... well, lots of folks would be doing it. I suspect most auctioned storage lockers just have garbage in them.
