Ok for the most part we didnt get haggled too much for being (drunk) Rocket fans who cheered for the our team. But during the 4th quarter almost half of the arena started chanting: "Houston sucks, Houston sucks" Is this the best cheer they can come up with? Talk about lame. It must be tough to do when multiple sylable teams come to town like Sacramento, Los Angeles, or God for bid Philadelphia. But I guess we shouldn't expect more out of fans who coined the brilliant chant of "Go Spurs Go" unbelievable......
We should be considerate and understand how painful it was for the Spurs and their fans in 1995. They can't get over it. Poor fans!
Not to mention the fact that they are bitter because they get no respect for their: *******NBA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP******
Did they really get charged with 13 asterix's for that championship? poor Spurs fans. We used to feel your pain.
Yeah, those Spurs fans have so much to be proud of... they let a non-playoff team from last season come into their arena and almost come all the way back from a 25 point deficit in the second half. All this without Cuttino Mobley and with Steve Francis not 100%. P.S. You should've reminded the fans around you what the Spurs did any time the Lakers got a lead like that on them last year. (quit)
spurs fans are still clinging to the hope that they will actually win a REAL championship...not one in a shortened season. unfortunately, they will not be winning another one anytime soon. so they are stuck with company cockgobblers like sean elliot to rave about tony parker and compare him to gary payton! the only thing i enjoy more than watching the spurs lose is watching them lose by "giving up" in the playoffs. so close...and yet, never in the same hemisphere....
Spurs fans should be eternally grateful that they got the lottery pick to draft Tim Duncan. They are absolutley nothing without him. David Robinson would have never won a ring without him. I will always question the Spurs tanking the season to get that lottery pick. Spurs fans are awful......... *************************************************** Go Scottie Pippen- master of his domain in Portland- as you said you still have a lot of fans in Houston----NOT!!!
I would have almost agreed with this completely (unless there really are 3 dollar seats?) except for the fact that once the Spurs have missed the playoffs, you'll see quite a few empty seats at SA games too. I remember how the well dried up in that lottery year. Finding someone to talk about the Spurs required Indiana Jones.
You could say the same thing about the Rockets and Hakeem. If you paid people 3 dollars a seat, Compaq wouldn't be full.
