Finally glad to be typing on the BBS again...OK not really I could have used a few more days at S.Padre actually.

What are some of the best spring expereinces you have had over the years?

I arrived on friday afternoon and went down to Mexico that night, to a club called Zero Zone. I was Ok I guess, But I was drinking all-you-can-drink Corona, and did some dancing. (Craig Kilborn has nothing on me). I was hammered that night. More alcohol than my body could handle, I was puking at around 3:45 am Sat Morning. Oh And I didn't mind missing G.S.'s asswhipping of the Rockets

Saturday was Ok, went to Schlitterbahn Beach Park and saw Robert Earl keen. Didn't drink. I wasn't feeling that good anyway.

Sunday was better. Wen't to the beach and played football in 15 mph winds and the weather was like 50, ok that sucked, but the weather was not cooperating...no chicks on thebeach in bikinis (excpet for four brave souls)
That night we saw Pat Green perform. Very impressive, the crowd was more rockus that last night. Bought two hot chicks a shot each. We were grinding (dancing)up on each other for a while, not a bad feeling. i was mildly drunk, not as bad as fri. And my mom forgot to tape the Rockets-Jazz game, so I missed the Francis shot. Damn

Stayed at my Bro's place (hard to beat free shelter), but we left Monday morning for Houston.

My best spring break was senior year at UT in 1983. Me and a friend drove a pickup truck from Austin to Mazatlan, Mexico. Met up with another couple of friends, one of whom's Dad owned a house on a golf course at a resort down there. Bought a keg of Pacifico beer for twenty bucks, and kept it tapped and iced down in the back of the pickup. We used to go to outdoor cafes and back the truck up to our table. Threw a couple of huge parties at the house. Hit every bar on the strip. Picked up co-eds on the beach.

In forty years I'll probably be sitting in a wheelchair at a nursing home with a smile on my face thinking about it. It was a blast.

My worst Spring Break experience was the day I came closest to death.

I drank a 1.75 liter (yes, the bottle with the handle) bottle of southern comfort.....most of it through a funnel--topped off with coke....in about two hours.

They said the sand was starting to dune over my body in the high winds. Somehow they lifted my big-ass body into the back seat of my car and drove me back to my parent's bay-house.

I lived and "came to" about 16 hours later. They had hid all of the alcohol from me. That was silly....I had no intention of drinking again for a while....

....at least a couple of days, anyway.
