    I was hearing Stoops I guess he turned it down. He's probaly a lifer now.

    If Texas is the best job Florida is probaly #2. Cant blame Muschamp for leaving but I think Flordia could have done better.

    Damnit, just wait a few years to be the head coach!

    Mack's got a lot of work ahead of him. A complete staff overhaul is gonna make recruiting even more difficult. :-/

    coach "Boom" is probably the most overrated coordinator I've ever seen. Texas' defense was freaking stacked with blue chippers this year and he couldn't do $h!t with them. If anything, this might be actually end up positively for the horns (although I hope not :grin: ). Seemed like Boom got a bit too big for the program, and it was obviously adding to the turmoil that went on this year. Go out and get a young hard working coordinator who knows how to get the most out of those blue chippers, and you should be good.

    Hard to keep a defense fresh when your offense is going 3 and out every single drive. This is a big loss for us, there is absolutely no direction with the program now.

    sucks to lose him as a coordinator but I was never thrilled with the coach in waiting deal. I don't think he will be that great of a head coach.

    Hopefully Texas doesn't lose a bunch of recruits

    If Applewhite follows Muschamp to Florida, he will lose his native son status. If he stays, he needs to spend a few more years learning from a proven OC.

    Powers needs to stay out of the business of Longhorns Athletics; and Brown / UT needs to hire a proven DC / recruiter.
