Little did I know Nate Newton was a Houston Rockets Fan. Tonight's game is being discussed on the Michael Irvin Show and they are talking good about our Rockets. They said that "The Guy" that put the Rockets together have done a masterful job. Landry, Scola, Ariza were all called out as making great contributions. They think the Rockets might be better with out TMac. Just wanted to pass along that the Rockets are getting some love in Dallas.
I guess they are finished talking about the Mavs/Rockets now... I am going to listen to the stream a bit in case they come back to talk about it more. Edit: They are talking about the Cowboys... so I guess they are finished talking basketball for a while.
"Big Juicy" had the Rockets beating the Lakers last year in the playoffs, I believe. At the very least, he had us beating Portland. I'm going to the game tonight, and can't wait to see if we can build on our last meeting with the Mavs (Pre-season finale), where we couldn't execute at the end to put the game away. Living in Dallas, I think I can say that the Mavs are definitely legit challengers to the Jazz/Lakers as my most hated opponent. Maybe it's a three-way tie
yes i still hate Dallas even though I saw their game against the Lakers and Dirk surprisingly doesnt flop as much as he use to and who am I kidding I would kill to have a player like Dirk on the Rockets. So I really dont hate this team as much as I use to. The only player I still cant stand is Josh Howard. That guy is just a nutcase and a dirty player. I remember last year he tried to trip Yao. anyways GOOOO ROCKETS!!
Later this afternoon on Galloway they were even talking about the Rockets being a great team with infuses on team. I've been living in Dallas since 91 and have never heard them talk good about the Rockets as a team. Even when the Rockets were winning the Championships in the 90's, Chuck Cooperstein who is a regular on Galloway and the Mavs radio announcer talked bad about the Rockets. But today everyone talked good about the Rockets. Very nice to get some respect. With all the Cowboy talk on the Radio in Dallas its always a nice surprise to get some Rocket love.
Its nice when Radio stations talk about BASKETBALL.. I swear here in houston its Texans all week. They talk about the same thing over and over again (was Moats in or out on that fumble) everyday until the next game.. I wonder what they are going to talk about since next week Texans get a by.. It would be nice if Houston stations talked about the Rox more.. I shouldn't have to wait until Tmac does something bone headed.
