Ya'll settle this argument for me, as I can't find the answer myself. Were the Rockets ever in the Eastern Conference at any point in their existence? I mean San Diego or Houston. This is an argument I will not loose so ya'll help me out a lil.

Yes. The Houston Rockets were in the Eastern Conference from the 1972-73 season to the 1979-80 season.
