i don't believe that we will blow up the team this summer. i think steve will get a second chance from jvg, but this time with a good back-up all season.

our weekest areas are back-up PG, SF, and PF. cato and jj did good jobs this season, however we needed more offence from cato and a backup for jj so he doesnt have to play 40 minutes a night.

i thought of 3 realistic trades that all work cap wise and i think both teams in all trades will get what they want.

the first is to get a back-up point to help steve out. TO's have been the biggest problem all season so the best answer to that is a trade for the best ast/to ratio in the league...antonio daniels.

cato & our #2 for ad & james

they dump james' contract, clear up a log jam in the back court, and get a sarting caliber center. we get a shot blcker to back-up yao and a 6'4 PG who can defend, pass, and shoot w/o turning the ball over. throw in a #2 to sweeten the deal.

next is at PF. im sure you all remember when JVG tried to trade eddie, boki, and moochie for camby early in the season. something tells me he still wants him.

    TE for camby.

it works perfectly cap wise. the nugz will have a lot of cap space this summer, this trade will give them enough to offer 2 max contracts. on top of that they will also have a $7M TE. with this trade they go from being able to bring in a great player and a good player to being able to bring in 2 great players and another good player. for us, im not a big camby fan because he is allways injured, but his game when healthy is a perfect fit, and jvg loves him.

the last trade is to bring in someone to relieve jj from playing 40+ mpg. without moving a big piece of our team we have not much left to offer at this point. we would have:

    yao-james
    camby-mo-spoon
    jj-pike-boki
    cat-ag
    steve-ad

we could get rid of spoon and any of the back-up swingmen. that doesnt look like it will get us much. but what if we take a chance with this one?

    spoon & boki for stackhouse

    ok stop laughing :p .

the wiz don't need/want him anymore. they are making room for an arenas, houghes, hayes swingman rotaion. also spoons contract is 1 year shorter, and they can bring boki along. for us, we take a chance that he will not miss 75% of the season again. he would be great to have during those times when our bench is in and we cant score. he isnt really what weare looking for but he is the best we can get with what we have left. this could turn out to be a great blessing if he is healthy all season, but if he isnt, its no worse than what we had this year.

so here is our new team. not that any of this will ever happen...

    yao-james
    camby-mo
    jj-stack-ag
    cat-pike
    steve-ad

so tell me which ones you agree or disagree with.

Are you kidding me?? I use to watch Mr Fragile during his stay in Toronto and he's been nothing but a cheerleader on the bench.

    63, 63, 46, 59, 63, 29, 29, and maybe 72.

Go ahead and guessed what are those numbers stand for.

like i said he isnt my choice. JVG likes him, even proposed a trade earlier in the season for him.

Camby's been healthy this year. I would do it, but I don't think the Nuggets would go for it. I think they'd rather keep him, and Camby wants to stay in Denver. If they did trade him, I also think they could get more for him.

I actually think Camby would be a great fit for us at PF, but I've decided it's not going to happen.
