    September 15, 2003 - Beginning this week, potential Xbox owners will be tempted by Microsoft's holiday offer of an Xbox console, a two month trial subscription to Xbox Live, a copy of both Tetris Worlds and Star Wars: The Clone Wars all for $179.99, the current retail price of a standalone Xbox system.
    "By offering Xbox with two super-premium games and a trial Xbox Live subscription, we're giving consumers an easy and affordable way to bring the complete Xbox entertainment experience into their homes this holiday," said Mitch Koch, vice president, retail sales and marketing for the home and entertainment division at Microsoft. "There's never been a better time to buy Xbox."

    As soon as September 17, consumers will be able to walk into their favorite retailers and "assemble" their Xbox holiday bundles piece by piece. As of October 15, however, the games and the Xbox console will be sold in one convenient box as a true bundle. Since it won't be included in the package as part of the Xbox Live component, the Voice Communicator headsets for Xbox Live will be sold separately at $29.99 beginning this holiday season as well.

    Can I trade those two games for Halo?

    Or how about I pay that price and get the console, the subscription, and a voucher for Halo 2?

    Isnt too bad of a deal, a little better than the Sega pack from last year. I hear that you still have to buy the head set if you want to use it for XB Live. If any of yall hop on with XB Live, hit me up under the tag of "Dave2000".

    I also heard that Gamecube is going to be lowered to $99, which is weird cause it will be the same price as a GBA SP.:confused:

    What a crappy bundle. Tetris and Clone Wars...and a two month 'trial' of Live. Ugh.

    They should adopt that Mechwarrior/Splinter Cell thing Walmart was supposed to do for a limited time.
