How long do they usually keep a player out (i.e. Peja for the Kings)?

Are you thinking he's getting traded or something?

I don't know. I know he hasn't been getting along with the team and stuff...well not like it used to be.

Back Spasms are the mystery meat of NBA injuries - you can't pick them up on imaging, so you have to take the player's word for it. It's the injury of choice when players want to fake something. Not that it isn't a very real thing that nails guys all the time (it was the first domino of Pippen's decline).

How long it takes to get over it is also a toss up. All a trainer can do is treat it (stretching, massage, hot tub, electro-stimulation, steroid shot if it's really bad, etc), and wait to see if the player feels better.
