Plasma TV help....

    I was given a 2005 model Samsung 50" TV knowing there were some problems. I wanted to try and see if I may be able to fix it because I have fixed a couple other TV's with rather easy problems.
    This TV has some probs and I have no idea what it is. I was told it has burn ins but it looks like there is more than that. It may not even be worth the trouble but I know some of you guys are pretty knowledgeable about these things.
    There are black spots at the top corners and the picture is like an acid trip. LOL
    I have tried putting a DVD player to it and the sound is fine but the picture is all mixed up and you just see colors going crazy.

    have you tried anything else ? tv signal? cable? video game system?

    what are you using to connect? also are you setting the resolution at 720p or 1080i?

    Actually I have just tried the DVD thru reg AV cables.
    I can't use the menu because it is all distorted as well.

    Check avsforums or avforums or something like that. There will be a thread on that model so search the model. It will be an OLD thread. Good luck.
