I think I am getting ready to collect on a big bid. I just have a regular rinkydink personal account. I have a limit of $500 intake per month. I might be pawning off somethings on ebay that might go for a total amount of over $500. anyway, um what's the difference between personal and premier account. ya know what, I already freaking clicked yes. it's 5:41 AM. Damnit Kam, you are an idiot. I guess i now am a premier thingie at paypal. so what are the benefits? I'd read it myself, but I got you guys.
The premier account is slightly different from what I can tell with mine. Any time anybody sends you money to your account, PayPal takes a certain percentage of your money. With a premiere account, people can pay you with credit or debit cards instead of just a bank account. I think your amount allowances increase also.

Premier accounts are the greatest -- you can send millions around the globe with the click of a mouse and you receive a special badge that gets you backstage at all Styx concerts. ______ In other news: Lil Pun answered a question.
Google said they are coming out with an alternative to Paypal soon. There are other sites like Bidpay, but not many people use it.
And that site wants you to go to http://www.free-merchant.com/ which is CardService International. And here are some compaints on consumeraffairs.com about CardService International: http://www.consumeraffairs.com/business/cardservice.htm
I'm not advertising real merchant. I don't use it, and probably never will. But paypal is a screwjob, so I warn people. Money orders for me, thanks.
donny, you're the only one complaining in this thread about paypal. i'm not saying paypal hasn't randomly froze some accounts, but for the past 6 years i haven't had a single problem with paypal. the only thing that's lame about the premier account, is paypal's percentage fee that they love to throw in every transaction, but other than that they're pretty good.
I had zero problems with paypal for exactly 7 years, then I got royally farked out of over 400 dollars. No recourse. Game over. This is a small sampling of people, so of course I'm the only one complaining. Heed the warning, folks.
As a buyer I only pay through paypal in ebay i dont trust sending money orders becuase the seller can cash it and not even send you the goods!!
Money Orders leave a paper trail. Use traceable, certified mail as well. Demand it for your items shipping as well. If the guy cashes it and doesn't send you the goods his feedback will go down the crapper in a heartbeat and if it is any significant amount of money law enforcement will help you. But if you're dealing with large amounts of money with a guy who isn't a bonafied legit seller on ebay you deserve to get ripped off.
I've transferred thousands of dollars through paypal over the years and haven't ever had any problems -- I doubt that is just luck.
