Olympic Torch Pictures

    These were taken at about 2pm 1/2 block from my house on 11th St. I don't know who was carrying the torch, but she was a pretty girl and her parents were running down the sidewalk with a digital video camera and a dozen roses yelling for her.

    They handed out American flags and free Cokes. Woo hoo. :D

    So they couldn't squeeze Minnesota, ND, or SD in the route but they managed to get it to Alaska! Seems a little strange. Not that I would lose any sleep if the torch didn't come through my state but still a little weird.

    so anyone who wants to see it can still watch it pass along Montrose between 6:50 and 7:09...or so. Then it heads to the convention center.

    The torch is gonna pass the UT campus around 2:15 PM today.
