I never understood how a settlement isn't an admission of wrongdoing.

Easy. Its a business decision. You are suing me for $1 million. I can fight it in court for a couple years and spend $200,000 in legal fees and STILL lose.

I mitigate my risk and offer you $100,000 to go away.

Knowing the same thing, you may pay $200,000 in legal fees and lose, you take the money now.

I admit no wrongdoing, but recognize the fact that I made a valid business decision. You get your money.

The entire reason for being sued actually ends up becoming irrelevent.

I bought my MacBook Pro during the affected period, but I bought it at the Apple Store in Toronto...looks like I'm ineligible.

    5. How do I know if I am part of the settlement? Judge Ware has decided that everyone who fits this description is a Class Member: All persons and entities resident in the United States of America who purchased a “Class Computer” in the United States of America.
