My TV station's Digital Switchover Fundraiser

Hey Guys,

I run the University of Texas-Austin television station (TSTV). We are one of the only (if not the only) FCC licensed student run stations in the country.

We have started a campaign to be the first student station in the country with a digital transmitter that will allow us to continue to broadcast over the air past June and expand our reach to over 1,000,000 people.

The economy has really hit our parent company hard and The Daily Texan is set to lose a lot of money this year. We are in the middle of a political mess with layoffs and pro-local advertising policy debate...

Point is that we've been put in the situation of having to raise a lot of funds ourselves. If any of you guys (UT Alums or Not) feel enough to our cause and would like to make a Tax Deductible donation, That would be really amazing.

This swtich might allow us to upgrade 20 year old equipment and better equip our students for their trek out into the real world.

Every year, we get people jobs. In the last 3, we've put 8 people at ESPN and tons more in TV stations across the nation. Burnie Burns from Red Vs.
