Can any of you reccomend some good moving companies in the Houston area? I'll be moving from Deer Park to the West side of town in a couple weeks. Any pricing info would be great too. I'm trying not to spend a ton here.

Another problem that I'm hoping some of you can help with is how exactly I should arrange this move. I'm closing on the sell of my current house in the morning, and then closing on the new house that afternoon. So at both closings I'll be giving/recieving keys to the property, which means all of my stuff will need to be out that morning. I really don't want to have to move all of my stuff to storage for one day and then get it moved to the new house, but I'm not sure what else I can do. I guess my only option at this point is to get the buyers to agree to wait until that afternoon to take over possesion of the house. Any help is appreciated!

Try Ark Moving Inc. They are pretty reasonable. Their number is 713-692-6683.

If you need time, you can negotiate a lease back for 1 day with the buyers. If they are reasonable though, theyll give you that extra day.

Check out www.pods.com. If you don't mind doing to the loading and unloading yourself, they can drop off a pod and then take it to your new place for under $200.

We plan on using them when our new home is done later this year.
