Why is he getting so many players at the same position the mavs don't need anymore power forwards. It looks like now that they are going to sign Joe Smith. What about a center has Cuban ever thought about signing one because Shawn Bradley absolutely sucks and will always suck.I hope Cuban remembers when his team went 9-1 at the end of the season the rockets were the one who beat them. The Mavs will never make the playoffs until they have a decent center and right now they don't.

Didn't you know that Cuban traded Alexander, Thomas, and Bradley for Mutumbo?

dang.....that would be pretty smooth. Not entirely unrealistic either. That's the best package I've seen for Mutombo so far.

What is sooooo greeeeat about the Mavs? Someone please break it down for me. All I see is they got 2 good players. Gary Trent and Michael Finley. What else is making them a lock for the playoffs?

Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!

Would someone please explain to me how good Gary Trent is? Looking at that team, I wouldn't have selected him as their second best player. Has he just not had the chance to prove himself or what?

I do agree that Dallas doesn't look that intimidating as they stand now. Crisco does kind of point out that they could trade some of that youth and depth for a primetime player or two, and presto, they leapfrog us.

Dallas will have a tough time landing Mutombo before the season starts as they can not trade the rookie signings until Dec. 15.

I am not sure what the CBA says specifically about Eisley, Barros, Mills, Laettner, or Curly but I believe there a waiting period for trades as well.

RealGM says Thomas, Bradley, and Alexander for Mutombo does not work capwise.

Nash, Bradley, and Davis works signing and capwise, but I doubt if that would be enough as the Knicks can offer Alan Houston.

My often used phrase about Cuban....he's like a kid in an NBA candy store....ohh I like that one.. and how about that one and oohhhh I REALLY HAVE TO HAVE THAT ONE!!

Gary Trent had a breakout year with the Mavericks his first year. Since, he has been hampered with injuries. But he sure proved he could score, and score in bunches. You don't often find a guy that big, that is that agile. and has a nice touch around the basket.

He was a joy to watch when he was healthy here in Dallas. I went to a game against LA and he, on two seperate occasions, took Shaq to the hole strong. One was a three point play.
