I heard somewhere that the Faker$ signed Magic to a 20 year contract back in '80 or '81. Is this true, and if so does his measley one million dollar a year paycheck count against the cap? Thanks in advance.

Thats a good question. I have no clue, but if its anything like hockey, then it doesn't. Wayne Gretzky signed a contract with the Oilers in 1978 that would last until 1999. But that contract was overidden when they re-extended his contract in '83 or '84, I believe.
