I have a friend who wants me to make her a few CDs that include nothing but popular 80's songs and music. With so many people on this board that are in the music business and who are knowledgable on the subject who else would I ask? So board members please start posting popular 80's songs because I don't remember that many myself and hopefully I can pick several out of the batch posted and make the CDs she would like. Thanks in advance.

There used to be this hit song from the 80s that was played heavily on the radio. All I remember is some high pitched "Ahh Ah Ah AAHhh" 's and in the video there's a guy in a white shirt walking on a beach as he was singing this.
I think that could be an old Phil Collins song or was it Genesis back then?? On second thought I think it could be a old Don Henley song too.. OK I'm lost too now..
You can't be serious. OMD was hardly a one hit wonder group. They had as many good songs as all those others combined.
I don't know if Flock of Seagulls, Big Country, OMD, or Alphaville should be on that list. OMD had other hits that weren't as big, but So in Love was also popular. Alphaville had Forever Young Flock of Seagulls also had Space Age Love Song, and Wishing which made at least a little splash. Big Country also had two other minor hits. Fields of Fire, and Wonderland both made a dent.
