James Van Der Beek (Dawson's Creek) passes away at 48

RIP Dawson Leery.

 

Wife and I met him a few years back, incredibly nice guy in person. Knew he was dealing with health issues but didn't think they were that bad.....

Always liked Varsity Blues, especially how it got the ridiculous pressure fathers and coaches put on you that sucked the fun out of high school football.

Idk, I read he had some some aggressive treatments.

He used very aggressive forms of chemo that didn't work and unfortunately drained his entire savings. He also tried alternative treatments in his desperate times as many people -- all over the country --- do. It's the cruel nature of cancer. Now his wife and kids have to pick up the pieces while being financially insecure.

Every human body reacts differently, it was just unfortunate and sad to see that he could not at least drag this out to 10 or plus years...

Also, I think it's tacky to ask for donations when they have a multimillion dollar property in LA and a 36 acre ranch in central Texas.
