we signed marc jackson to an offer sheet; we get word that the worriors want compensation; we sign damon jones (a pg with moochiesque numbers) what's next? well, i say moochie to the worriors this offseason hurt. we lose dream, bull, and now (possibly) mooch. all 3 were fan favs. what do you guy's think? does this equation make sence?
I think the Jones signing may just be co-incidental. Today is October 1st, which is a good deadline day. First day of the month and of the quarter and the last possible minute before training camp. I think the Rockets told Fegan, 'accept the terms by Sept. 30, or we'll sign a different backup on the 1st.' It just so happens that we also just received the exception, so obviously the 2 things would happen at the same time. Even so, being able to trade Moochie now may help us with Jackson. I don't think we can S&T him to GSW, though. If they are indeed trying to shed some payroll, signing a backup PG for $4 million a season isn't a good way to go about doing it.
The Moochie sage has dragged on and on. He is being captained by The Evil Fegan. If we want to get Marc Jackson into camp before the 15 days are up, we have to give up something. I don't see the Damon Jones signing as coincidental at all. I think it is telling. Goodbye Moochie.
