Federal Tax Lien Against Nas -- It Was Written

Posted Oct 19th 2009 12:52AM by TMZ Staff

Kelis isn't the only person trying to get money from Nas -- turns out Uncle Sam is too!

TMZ has obtained a federal tax lien filed last month against Nas for a whopping $2,584,206.31. Looks like Nas didn't pay his taxes in 2006 and 2007.

Nas is currently involved in a bitter divorce battle with Kelis. Looks like she'll have to wait in line.

Nas is Muslim. He is black. If anything the government owes him money.

I hate women who divorce in court. Everything gets put on the table and the government takes a nice chunk...b****es

    That's stupid.

Nas is by far a better rapper/lyricist/MC than Kanye. If anything Kanye should be opening up for him.

I would like to introduce you to: Underground Philly rap
Gang Starr (from Boston), Jedi Mind tricks (vinnie Paz), GZA, and plenty of alive rappers are absolutely phenomenal. They're just not mainstream, and I want them to stay that way!

for you blasphemers saying that Nas is the best rapper alive, I present you: Jay Z, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and several more. heck even Dre is a whole lot better than Nas

    That's ridiculous.

    Jay is debatable.

GZa isn't even the best in his group. M-Man, RZA, Raekwon and Cappadonna are all better than him.

I think that Snoop, Nas and Cube are all far greater than Jay-Z.

And btw, Rakim is the best rapper alive...hands down...

Royce 5'9 is the best rapper alive.

Nas, Lupe, Jay-Z can't even stand in the same room with him.
