    Hey guys,

I have this problem in regard to my crappy internet connection. It sucks to begin with but now I think it has something to do with my computer as well.

I seem to be able to connect right after I start up my computer but anytime I try to follow that one initial connection by trying to connect again, it doesn't transfer any data once I have been connected. If I start up my computer and try again it works fine.
So, it seems like I get one decent connection per start up. What's that about??

Also, are there any sites where you can get tips on how to improve your connection?

I had that same type of problem.

I removed the "Internet Tools" and then re-installed them from my IE 5 CD-ROM... seems that I had corrupted a file that was critical for getting the rest of your connection after you dial up...

After re-installing, I was back online with 3 days of email to catch up with!

proceed with caution & good luck,

federal internet law prohibits me from being held responsible in the event of damage being done to your computer due to inproper installation or un-installation of files that you knowingly change or delete by your own hand.

If that doesn't work -- what type of computer? What ISP? When did it start -- after making any changes / upgrades, or has it always been there? Is it the origional modem?
