i think camby is a free agent if i am not mistaken. i think camby would fit great in houston along side yao. he has some post presence, has good rebounding skills, and good shot-blocking to help the weak-side. he has more cato but less of taylor but he, i think, could be ideal pf to complement yao. camby worries me about his injures but he is nice role player if were to play on the rockets and has play for JVG. i also would think that if we can go get a sf with some shooting touch, like rashard lewis or romandivic (6-10 sharpshooter from seattle). i think romandivic is free agent after this year or is restricted. i hope the rockets can give him a MLE to get him. I think my lineup for next year, which seems realistic in trades and free agents. Also i think we need to trade cato for a good backup pg in which francis can move into the 2 slot for a few mins and get a backup center along with it

    francis/back-up guard
    jackson/mobley/griffin
    romandivic/pike
    camby/taylor
    yao/back-up center

btw if we are going to get camby, we should use our trade exception to get him

I think Camby is a FA this offseason, but I could be wrong. An injury-free Camby would be a nice addition. He knows JVGs system, rebounds extremely well, can score, and can get a couple block shots.

I wouldn't mind signing Camby if he is a FA, but I'm not sure about using the trade exception to get him if he's not. Remember, the rule of trade is that you never help out the opposing team.

injuries are a concern but he's having a nice year and if healthy would be a great addition if the price is right. wouldn't use the trade exception for him though.

well camby does everything cato does and is more mobile. he wouldn't be bad. but a PF that could space the floor with his shooting may be better.

    1) The Trade Exception can not be used to sign FA's.

    2) Prior to the current season, Camby has never played in more than 18 consecutive games without an injury.

    H**l no.

I love Camby's game when he's healthy, but if we had to give him much more than a mil or 2 it's probably not a risk worth taking. As far as getting a 6 10 sharp shooter like Radmanovic goes. We already have Padgett shooting 55% from 3 point range this year and he inexplicably can't get off of the bench.

Hear that McDyess is a FA after this year. If he is through w/ all the injury bugaboo's that have plagued his past 2 years, would ya'll take him? He would be that defensive/rebounding/scoring power forward that we could really use...if he were healthy.

I'd take either of those guys for the league minimum but neither of them for more. It's a good gamble at league minimum but entirely too risky for anything more than that.

I'd sign Camby to 8 millions a year if he's not the glass man...

I want to rephrase that. I should say it's entirely too risky for much more than league minimum. maybe 2 million a year or so would be fine... i just don't want them breaking the bank on somebody who is injury prone (including chris webber).

Well, JVG did try to trade for Camby this season. But I wonder why Denver balked when we offered Moochie and Nachbar? Strange.
