Is your water dispenser working? Could be a clogged water filter.

You've got to dismantle the latch hasp from the
    auxiliary drainage line.

What do you got a Clarkman?

Make sure the water dispensor is working first, if not, thats most likely your problem.

If it is, check the lines to the ice machine to figure out if its not getting the water. If not thats your problem.

If it does fill with water, Vacuum, blow or wipe off the coils on the bottom of it. take the grates off the front and back to get to them. If they are covered it dust or pet hair that can cause some problems.

If you bought this last year.. was it new? Look into the manual if so, you have a warranty. (call the 800 #)

Whether it is a GE or Whirlpool or Hotpoint even, they are all made by the same factory..

There is an issue these have with the water lines freezing. Mine did it too... they may even come out and replace some of the parts for free (mine is eligible for new doors - the water line in the door was frozen and not allowing it to flow out, but it would flow at the point before the door... different problem but same company...)

One question, is your veggie drawer full? Sometimes this prevents air movement through area around the water lines, and they freeze up...

If you get it to thaw, also just take note of what setting the fridge is on (freezer side and regular side) and then set them warmer one notch when you get it back to working.

And this is my last idea... could the line be clogged past the filter? But not just be ice? The filters are supposed to be replaced every 6 months. Mine needed it almost like clockwork after the first year. We didn't change the first one (that was shipped with it) until a year went by, but after that it's been every six months.

Next, google "GE side-by-side ice maker not working." ---Tons of pro help out there.

I have a Kenmore Elite that had a similar problem. If your problem is the same as I had, the line where the water comes in to the freezer has a rubber nozzle that got frozen solid with ice. The nozzle will be inside your freezer, so open it up and try to find where the water pours into the container that makes ice. See if it's a rubber valve. Squeeze it... if it doesn't flex/pinch, it's iced over. Two things you can do if the nozzle is visible/accessible :

    1) get hot water and rip some cloth into strips. dip the strips into the water and wrap them around the nozzle and leave it there. Get it off there before it freezes and repeat until it thaws.

    2) Get a blow dryer, turn it on and aim it at the rubber nozzle and heat it up so the ice clog melts.
