   My DSL modem died last night. I have internet through SBC. Can I just go and buy a modem from Circuit City and have it work fine? Or do I need to get a new one from SBC?

   Might need to get one from sbc. 2 wire brand.
   
   or do the smart thing and switch to comcast internet.
