Apple+ has Friday Night Baseball, which is a doubleheader, Fox is doing baseball in America and ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

I think it would be an interesting way to follow baseball. I might try this. You'll get a better perspective of teams this way.

If you're lucky enough, one day a sports team will hit you in a way where you light up and your world seems better for it. From that day on you realize you can't pick and choose anymore as your team has been chosen for you. Your first love of the game.

No matter what other team is doing well, or where our x's go from our team, my originals will always be the ones I follow, and I can't do that for any other team.

It be like looking at another kid and thinking "For now on that's my son". It doesn't work like that. Thick and thin, disappointment and success, it's the Astros and only the Astros for me.

    I have MLB Extra innings.
So I have access to all games except Yankees and Mets.
They get blacked out because I'm in market.
I watch some East Coast games before Astros first pitch especially if I can find our AL West foes.

It's kind of tough to invest 2 plus hours in a game that I don't have a dog in the fight.
I will on occasion watch the team we are playings feed for perspective.

Well again, just following your team can be boring as well. There is no variety and you never get to see some of the great players from other teams.
If you tie yourself to cable you can never cut the cord.

I might watch an inning or two of another pro game, just to watch but typically I don't appreciate watching MLB other teams, wish I did because I love baseball.......................bit when it comes to College Baseball, I`ll watch those all day, the College World Series in Omaha is awesome to attend, but I miss Rosenblatt Stadium and got to watch the last year there, the new park in downtown Omaha is really nice but the old park was better and more of a home town feel, its all Corporate now

Mlb extra innings is not a cable station.
    It's a streaming network.
    As is Apple TV.
I get as much variety as I need.
Why am I defending myself to you on this?

I will watch Sunday Night Baseball because it's the only game on at that time and the Astros have usually already played. They usually have a pretty good matchup and I like ESPN's presentation.

Other than that, it's Astros only for me.

Football (NFL and college) and college basketball are the only sports I consistently watch even when my team isn't playing. Can't remember the last time I've watched a non-Rockets NBA game. It's probably been 20 years.

I watch lot of baseball, but try to steer away from national games for the huge gap in quality of the booth and stupid mid game interviews.

National games feel like "let us come and introduce you to this silly sport we just started to play...." and booth filled with dudes who has no business being there.

I watch mostly Astros allthough if the trend of some random lady selling blankets or some s**t in the booth continues that might change if the season goes to toilet quickly too.

Games I like to watch beside Astros because I like booth:
Mets, Orioles, Cubs, Padres, Red Sox.

Also interested to see how Blue Jays do because of big signings, can their hitting trend continue or was it a fluke season instead of rainmaker hitting coach and how they respond to basicly giving Dodgers the WS 2025. Would like them to win division because I hate Yankees so much.

I am just the opposite. I don't think local team booths are that good. It is much more homerism involved and a lot less objectivity.
I mean, you are a rockets fan I assume and had to live through Calvin Murphy and Bill Worrell. Which, I understand Bill is beloved, but the guy is a huge homer.

I used to but not really any more. Now it's just Astros. Same with the Rockets. When it comes to the English Premier League, I will watch as much as possible. I'm just more invested in that now...plus I can get up early on a Saturday and be done with it by noon. My wife will watch any NBA game that's on. There's only so many times I can watch a Warriors and/or Lakers game. I can't stand either team and don't care to watch them.

While many are bad, there are also many that aren’t huge homers. Someone mentioned the Cubs - Jim Deshaies is great. It sounds like you haven’t actually listened to baseball broadcasts but I find them to be much better than basketball. The Warriors and Thunder are absolutely terrible - there’s nothing that compares in baseball. A part of that is it’s a lot tougher to be a homer in baseball because the calls are not subjective like basketball.

Have you watched a national broadcast on a Dodgers game? They suck off Ohtani and the Dodgers for the majority of the game…
