In a recent interview on how he is feeling at his advanced age, he says that "Since when is 77 an advanced age? I feel as young as ever"

He also congratulated the Lakers on their NBA title, and says he can't wait to meet Magic Johnson...He had no comment on his involvement in the Iran/Contra scandle...

    Happy birthday, Ronnie! :)

I bet he can't come up with jewels like this though:

Bacon tastes good 'cause pigs don't do sit-ups.

    Happy Birthday Mr. President.

Are you making fun of a man's disease? Shouldn't you be out beating up a r****ded kid at a bus stop or something?

No, I save that for Friday afternoons...:)

Come on! My grandmother has Alzheimer's...I remember taking her to the grocery store every week a couple years ago. When we finally put her in a nursing home, she had about 25 boxes of grape nuts in her cabinets because she always forgot that she already had a box! If here's any disorder that has a humerous side to it, it's Alzheimer's...You should have been there when she dropped her pants and tried to use the bathroom on my bed...

"No grandma, a LEFT at the end of the hallway."
    "Oh, I'm sorry"
    "That's OK...."

Sure, it's not as funny as a some guy hurtling to his death while trying to jump over the Great Wall of China on a bike, but you work with what you got...

I'll spare you my adult diaper bit. :p

Exactly. It's kind of a slow day. :D The allegiance of Reagan worship just blows me away. Whoops, that reminds me of a Clinton joke... which I'd have no problem with because I don't worship any politicians.

I'm not making fun of the disease, I'm making light of it, which is what many people who have loved one's stricken with this ailment do. If you take this so seriously, and in my mind, it's the worst thing that can ever happen to you, then you're just dooming yourself to a life full of even more misery than you already have.

My quote was directly from an Alzheimer's patient, RM95's Girl's Dad, who was stricken with the horrible disease at the ripe old age of 50. I feel and pray for him, Ronald Reagan, and everyone else who's had to suffer this horrendous fate.

Something tells me TheFreak would be the first one with a witty one-liner if one of the Clintons were diagnosed though.

I was referring to A-Train. I didn't know what the hell you were talking about.

I had no idea it was cool to make fun of people with Alzheimers. I've only known one relative that had it, but I didn't think to 'make light of it' to make things easier. My apologies.

Do you really not see the difference between making fun of something and making light of something?

I guess my girlfriend's family is just horrible for the way they've handled their terrible situation.

Exactly. Very unclassy guys. I would feel bad for any president or person. Although I may not agree with everything Clinton or Carter has done, I still respect them. They were the President of the United States, that deserves respect.

I actually went to the Ronald Reagan Foundation and sent him a birthday card.

Again, I don't think it has anything to do with a lack of respect for the man. I could be wrong, though.
