Halo 2 - I love bees!

Damn, I was hoping it meant the game would ship on August 24th instead of November 9th.

Pretty clever marketing though.

 

Looks like the website is linking to random websites on the bottom of one of the pages. The top half of those all have to do with drinking (or not drinking). One of the links has a message:

Weird.

 

How strange --- did you guys see this message covering the "bees" homepage?

What's Going On?

 

I just played Halo for 5 hours today. Greatest day off ever.

 

That would be cool if I had the time (or desire) to get wrapped up in an ARG.

Haha, I didn't say it was cool or anything like that, so don't label me as that much of a dork. I am waiting on Halo 2, though, so I went and read that just because of the mention of the game.

 

I've been checking it out once a day or so, just to read any new comments or posts. As for what it means, not a clue. I'm starting to think that maybe this is a clue that the Covenant aren't the Master Chief's biggest problem. Like one article said (maybe it was the ign one, not sure), Halo 1's marketing gave no clue that the Flood were even in the game. It focused completely on the Covenant.

If that's so, this seems to indicate some sort of hive-mind alien lifeform that may try to launch a simultaneous attack on human and Covenant forces (my gut feeling).

Anyway, this is supposed to "metastasize" on August 10 and become "wide awake and physical" at about 6 AM on August 24th (I believe, my math may be off). I'll have to set my alarm to check it out. Either way, it's done a brilliant job of raising attention for a game that didn't really need too much more hyping up in the first place.
