These are obviously important for the Rox because they equal easy offense. As I did not see the game and saw that we scored 20 fast break points, can someone tell me how these came about? Were they off of turnovers? Who led them, was it Rafer, AB, Tmac? And who finished off these plays for the points? Thanks.

Guys ran the floor. Mostly the bench, though (AB, Bonzi, Scola, Head)

Tonight our bench's offense really flowed, that's why.
Our starters still prefer the half court offense.

It mostly started with Yao, Chuck, or Shane doing a nice job of grabbing the board and throwing a good outlet pass to AB, Rafer, or Mac and then one of them either taking it to the rack or throwing it to Scola or Mac for the finish.

From what I saw, Brook was the primary initiator of the fast break. He brought the ball quickly and effectively. On one play I liked, Aaron rebounded the ball and just ran straight down the court and set up Battier for the three-pointer. Tmac also led the fast break on a few occasions. He made a nice pass that led Scola to an easy layup, who beat everyone else down the floor.

Wow, I wish I could have watched this game. Great to hear that we had 20 fastbreak points and that AB is getting some good playing time.

Aaron brooks just naturally bringing the ball up the court is like a fast break cuz he's so speedy with the ball.

The thing with the fast breaks is, you dont always NEED the center to run all the way back. Most 3 on 2 fast breaks are with a couple guards and a forward. The team figures to scoring the same points from it, so all Yao the center has to do is grab the board, pass it forward and hang back unless the team holds the ball to start the half court set. Yao fans wont like him being a glorified outlet passer but whatever helps the team win.

Or, as evident today, have the bench be a fast breaking unit as a change up pace.
