I would like to know if you have tried it and what kind of picture quality you received im thinking about trying it.

The quality is usually poor, almost always worse than VHS, SVCD is much better but SVCD's don't play in all DVD players.

depends, some time u can find a really good quality movie that's over 320x280 which is the stander size of video cd
