The scariest one was Earnest goes to Neverland.

Who the hell was Vern anyway? Did they ever even show the guy? I always thought he was that crazy little old guy, but I watched one the other day and found out there was no Vern.

Varney launched that character doing commercials for a regional dairy company here in North Carolina. They were a big hit and he got a nice career going; he even got to play Jed Clampett on the big screen. Too bad he die so prematurely... :(

Dude smoked since he was ten years old. I saw a TV special on him one time...He was actually a Shakespearean trained actor, but got stuck in that Ernest role...

His best work by FAR, though, was as the Carnie in the Simpsons...

I didn't know he was dead...I saw a special, I think last night, but said he was stuck with Ernest so long, that he had trouble getting type casted...

I didn't know he was the dog Slink in the Toy Story movies...
