Do non-black players receive a lot more cheapshots?

    I don't have statistics to back it up, and I usually don't want to bring race into stuff. But just looking at the first page of NBA Dish, we have a bunch of threads about cheapshots, and it's always a non-black guy being on the receiving end? Lin got clobbered by Kidd, Ridnour got tackled by Griffin, and Anderson got a cheapshot from Kidd (in the Lin thread). Last year, we saw Barea got elbowed by Bynum in the air.

    I'm sure black players get cheapshots too, but why there seemed to be more non-blacks being on the receiving end?

    lebron has had his share of cheap shots this year.

    More black players in then NBA so it looks skewed, but there are plenty of dirty plays by non-black players.

    You're right...Rudy got clocked by Kermit Washington, too. I suppose there are exceptions, like when Mick fouled Scott five times in the final game.

    But, I only follow non-black players, so maybe my numbers are skewed.

    I think they naturally don't expect the white guy to fight back, because most of the white guys in the NBA come from good families while the black guys are from dirty backgrounds and are much tougher(percentage-wise).

    Simple truth, you don't have many hardedged white payers in the NBA anymore... mostly guards, shooters and finese players... the days of Lambier are gone... making nonblack players more of a target due to less chance of retalliation.... Look how Scola gets abused (Fisher, Love, Griffin) - if you're not gonna fight back - yer gonna be bullied.
