Did they ever determine if that was really him?

I think I heard that it was him, but the time of the tape can still be questioned. Even then, there aren't marines running around the city right now, as far as I know, and he was surrounded by civilians so that a bomb couldn't be dropped on him.

 

Thats one hell of a thing to do when you got the United States knocking on your door. As well as risking his own people picking him off during a time of great uncertainty. There have been more Elvis sightings than Saddam sightings these days. Looks like hes just exercising his video library.

But seriously, this has an ominous feeling to it...What with the civilian casualties being sshown repeatedly around the Arab world , this kind of Human Touch /bravery thing adds to the increasingly real possibility that , when the US does eventually kill Saddsm Hussein, they will have accomplished possibly their greatest failure and most unlikely diplomatic venture in a campaign rampant with them; Made Saddm hussein into a martyr for the common people of the Arab world.

The more I read and see about Saddm hussein, including pr stunts like this, he reminds me of a Middle Eastern Al Capone, someone who he actually studied/admired.I see almost nothing he has doen which I cannot see Capone doing in the same situation, and often , as with this, he does exactly what Capone would have done. I have spoken before about the parallels...starting off as a hitman/gun, exiled for failure for a while...getting in and becoming the main guys right hand man by having a gun and a brain...eventually shouldering main guy out...waves of almost paranoid violence citing proposed betrayal...brtual violence and humanitarian pr stunts...I think it's remarkable, although obviusoy Hussein has had a larger stage upon which to practice his thug tactics.

 

That is NOT Sadaam. I repat, That is NOT Sadaam Hussein. That guy looks nothing like him! This is further proof to me that Sadaam is dead.



I can;t believe any even thinks that is him.

 

If it is a stand-in, that just makes his brass ball bigger imo.
