With Bud's injury it'll leave Lee as the primary (and only?) SF, so Butler may be able to fill in for a few mins and maybe even develop into a full time back up with time. There may be some potential there to be better than Budinger, but it's too early to tell right now.

Even If Budinger returns quickly, as expected, Butler may be someone to look at this summer. Yes, he's had an ACL injury and was just recently cleared completely by doctors after his stint with the Heat failed earlier this year, but he can be a cheap FA pick up with solid potential. Several teams are said to be interested in him, even for this season. He's worked out for some recently. His agent has said he's looking for a good opportunity to stay long term and develop, rather than to just fill a temporary void on a playoff team and/or contender. That may be possible in Houston, if he's willing to come in as a back up and fight his way up.

    Thoughts?

Mike Harris.. if not, we'd just try to use Terrance Williams or Demmare Carrol

Twill may not pan out the way his situation is unfolding. Still may be early, but it's not looking good for him.

Carroll is more of a PF.

I missed the Harris thread, so that pretty much takes Butler out as an option for the rest of the season, but Harris has never been a long term player here.

Butler is a better SF fit than Harris or Carroll. Probably better than Twill in this offense as well. If RA stays i think Butler is definitely a better choice.

Maybe for the long term. Might be worth a training camp invite.

But in terms of short term, for this playoff run, I do like the Harris signing.

He plays hard and knows the Adelman system well.
