Collier not picked up

    JC's option was not picked up by the Rox. Ooops, my bad -- JC is badder than I thought.

    Unfortunately, we still might keep him. He is scheduled to make over a million dollars next year so it would be cheaper to not pick up the option and negotiate with him as a free agent.

    For next year. Since Collier is a 1 rounder he has a 4 year contract with the 4th being the rockets option.

    No -- Collier's option for NEXT season was not picked up. He is unrestricted FA after this season.

    I don't believe this is correct. Even without picking up year 4, the Rockets have Full Bird Rights for Collier. He is a Restricted FA next summer.

    The only thing that not picking up the option does is creates the opportunity for other teams to make an offer sheet .

    I know Collier is one of the most hated Rockets on this board, but he will be in the league next year just as Langhi is this year.
