    Hey fellow footie fans,

    What do you guys think of that mega rich guy buying Chelsea? For me, it somehow takes away the romantic idea of football. I know that things have become very commercial now, with all teams all across Europe... but this is so extreme it almost feels as if this team will not be "Chelsea" next season. Just a team brought together by money. I suppose this is often the case with Premiership teams anyway (Arsenal, ManU to a lesser extent due to their youth players). But still, buying an entire team just like that?

    However, they are going to be incredible next year. They already managed to get a top four spot in a very difficult league and they have already bought four amazing players to add to their team next season. Who else will they get? Davids? Makaay? They will be very dangerous, both in Europe and at home.

    hadn't head about that. i did however hear that george clooney recently (or is about to) purchase Como in italy. although they got demoted to division 2 after finishing last this past season. the women there are supposedly very excited.

    Well from what I heard the Russian guy made a bid to every big team in Europe for one of their star player.Unfortunatly for him he was declined every time.(even though he just bought Duff!)

    As for the poetry of football,for me it was lost a long time ago...
    But you'll still catch me every saturday watching a game of my favorite team: les Girondins de Bordeaux! :)
