    My cousin and i want to get visit some family in chicago and were intent on buying plane tickets because they were only $180.....now they have risen to about $300 a person.....do you all know how we can get airline tickets for close to $180......we plan to leave to chicago july 22 or 23, and arrive back to houston august 1........thanks in advance ;)

    you sound just like me!! were you looking on Continental? i was gonna get some for the 8/6 w/e but they shot up from $183 to $294 for the times i wanted. they have some good deals for $183 but the times coming back on Sundays weren't any good.

    otherwise, i believe Southwest Airlines is usually ~$188 but i haven't checked.

    buy them as early as possible b/c i think prices are going up due to the outrageous gas prices!!

    I'm changing my weekend...we were gonna do the first w/e of August, now we're gonna push it back to the last weekend but we gotta get tickets SOON before they jump up again! Good luck!

    If you're a student aged 18-24, you can fly with Air Tran's X-Fares for $118 round trip.

    Southwest currently has a systemwide sale if you don't mind flying into Midway. It's through Aug. 4 and requires 14 day advance purchase.
