How do you unlock a cell phone? I want to sell my old Nokia 3360 but I need to unlock it so it can be used out my local network. Does anybody know how to do this? Also how can I tell if it was used in GSM?

If it's a GSM phone, then it'll have a SIM card. You can find your SIM card under the battery on the back of your Nokia if it's a GSM. I probably didn't answer your question, but I'm not too sure what you're trying to ask. Is there any way you could clarify a little?

Either you can ask your old company to do it for you, (tell em you are going overseas and need to use your phone, and tell em its in the same frequency as the phone you have right now)

Or you can get it done by a 3rd party but they usually overcharge

You probably have T-Mobile if it's GSM. Their customer service will give you the unlock code 14 days into your contract, so you just need to call up.
